Serenity Psychotherapy Clinic was founded by Ahmad Shihab, a Registered Psychotherapist in Ontario (CRPO Registration #11572). From an early age, Ahmad discovered his passion for helping others, shaped by his rich ethnocultural background. Growing up across three distinct cultures, speaking four languages at home, and experiencing diverse religious beliefs, he developed flexibility, curiosity, and a non-judgmental approach—essential qualities for forming strong, meaningful therapeutic alliances.
Corporate Leadership & Professional Background
Before fully dedicating himself to psychotherapy, Ahmad spent nearly a decade in the corporate world, holding senior management and executive positions. This professional experience strengthened his leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, which he now brings to his work in therapy.
Clinical Training & Therapeutic Modalities
After earning his M.A. in Counselling Psychology, Ahmad launched Serenity Psychotherapy Clinic to increase accessibility to essential mental health services across Ontario. With a holistic, integrative approach, he helps clients create lasting positive change. Ahmad has worked with a wide range of populations and presenting concerns and is skilled in major psychotherapeutic modalities, including CBT, DBT, EFT, and mindfulness, tailoring each approach to meet the unique needs of every individual, couple, or family.
